EZ PEE-ZY PUP CUP Care Instructions

Proper cleaning and care help keep your EZ PEE-ZY PUP CUP fresh, comfortable, and ready for use. Thoroughly wash and dry all reusable collection components after every use.

Before Each Use

• Inspect the diaper or strap, fasteners, rigid funnel, and reusable collection bag for damage.
• Make sure every component is clean and completely dry.
• Confirm that the collection device is securely attached to the diaper or strap.
• Make sure the device is the correct size for your dog.
• Position it securely, but never tighten it enough to restrict movement or cause discomfort.
• Always supervise your dog while the device is being worn.

After Collecting a Sample

Carefully remove the EZ PEE-ZY PUP CUP from your dog.
Transfer the urine into a clean specimen container according to your veterinarian’s instructions.

Cleaning the Reusable Collection Device

• Rinse the rigid funnel and reusable collection bag with cool or lukewarm water.
• Wash the inside and outside of both components using mild, unscented soap and water.
• Rinse thoroughly until all urine and soap residue have been removed.
• Allow the funnel and collection bag to air-dry completely before storage or reuse.
• Do not store the collection bag while it is wet or damp.
• Do not use bleach, alcohol, fabric softener, harsh disinfectants, or high heat.
• Inspect the collection bag regularly and discontinue use if it becomes torn, punctured, weakened, sticky, or otherwise damaged.

Before washing the diaper, completely remove the collection device, including the rigid funnel and collection bag.

Cleaning the Diaper

• Close all hook-and-loop fasteners before washing to prevent snagging.
• Hand-wash the diaper in cool or lukewarm water with mild detergent.
• Rinse thoroughly.
• Gently press out excess water without twisting or wringing the material.
• Allow the diaper to air-dry completely.
• Do not use bleach, fabric softener, harsh chemicals, or high heat.
• Do not iron the diaper or place it in a hot dryer.
• Once the diaper and collection device are completely clean and dry, securely reattach the collection device before the next use.

Before washing the strap, completely remove the collection device, including the rigid funnel and collection bag.

Cleaning the Strap

• Close the hook-and-loop fasteners before washing.
• Hand-wash the strap in cool or lukewarm water with mild detergent.
• Avoid stretching, twisting, or wringing the elastic.
• Rinse thoroughly and lay flat or hang to air-dry.
• Do not use bleach, fabric softener, harsh chemicals, or high heat.
• Do not iron or machine-dry the strap.
• Once the strap and collection device are completely clean and dry, securely reattach the collection device before the next use.

Urine Sample Handling

Transfer and secure the collected sample according to your veterinarian’s instructions. Deliver the sample to your veterinary clinic as soon as possible. If delivery will be delayed, ask your veterinarian how the sample should be stored. Avoid touching the inside of the collection bag or specimen container.

Storage

• Make sure every component is completely clean and dry before storage.
• Store the device in a clean, cool, and dry location away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Keep all components away from children and pets when not in use.

Important Safety Information

• This product is intended for supervised urine collection only.
• Do not leave the device on your dog longer than necessary to collect the sample.
• Never leave your dog unattended while wearing the device.
• Check the fit regularly and make sure your dog can move comfortably.
• Remove the device immediately if your dog shows discomfort, swelling, redness, chafing, or irritation.
• Stop using any component that becomes torn, cracked, stretched, punctured, or damaged.
• This product does not diagnose or treat any medical condition. Contact your veterinarian with questions about your dog’s health or the suitability of a collected sample.
